Job description

The Data Engineer role at Amazon Business involves building large-scale, high-performance data integration and delivery services. Requirements

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience
  • 3+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using ETL/ELT processes experience
  • 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using OLAP technologies experience
  • 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using data modeling experience
  • 3+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using SQL experience
  • 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using Oracle experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
  • Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
  • Experience with non-relational databases / data stores

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement solutions using third-party and in-house reporting tools.
  • Model metadata and build reports and dashboards.
  • Integrate data across disparate and distributed systems.
  • Administer the platform software and support the growth of data solutions.
  • Analyze challenging business problems and build efficient data models.
  • Develop and maintain small to mid-size custom built applications using Python or Java.
