• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Experience in an external enterprise customer-facing role as a technical lead
• Strong oral and written communication skills, presenting to both large and small audiences
• Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries with large-scale, complex datasets
• Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment
• Experience with large-scale data analytics and data warehousing
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
• Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or PhD

• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of database systems internals including relational database design and distributed databases/MPP architectures
• Lead strategic data architecture and database design discussions with customers
• Drive and oversee workload analysis, performance benchmarking, and troubleshooting efforts with customers in their environments
• Clearly communicate deep technical topics to customers
• Influence the engineering team roadmap towards building a scalable and user-friendly product
• Conduct POCs with customers in competitive situations
• Leverage coding and scripting skills to automate tasks and improve workload analysis mechanisms
