The role is for a Systems Development Engineer within Amazon Leo, focusing on designing, building, and maintaining critical infrastructure for satellite broadband services. Requirements
- Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure.
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
- Experience with Linux/Unix.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes.
- Experience with distributed systems at scale.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain infrastructure as code for hybrid-cloud Siemens engineering applications.
- Monitor system performance to ensure uptime, scalability, and reliability of applications and infrastructure.
- Analyze current infrastructure capacity and forecast future needs to support organizational growth.
- Provide day-to-day support of existing Siemens applications on AWS and on-premise.
- Automate Siemens deployment and administration of Siemens engineering tools.
- Drive an environment of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Anticipate bottlenecks, make trade-offs, and encourage risk-taking to maximize business benefit.
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum development processes, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
