The Senior Developer Technology Engineer role at NVIDIA focuses on researching and developing techniques to optimize CPU performance for large scale applications. The Developer Technology Team works closely with industry and academic experts to analyze and enhance complex database and data analytics workloads. This position offers the opportunity to influence next-generation hardware architectures and engage with the developer community through publications and presentations. Candidates will contribute to NVIDIA's leadership in technology and innovation in accelerated computing.
Requirements
- Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related computationally focused science degree.
- At least 5+ years of relevant work or research experience.
- Expert knowledge of modern CPU architectures such as ARM and x86.
- In-depth expertise with CPU architecture fundamentals, especially memory subsystems.
- Hands-on experience with low-level parallel programming, vectorization, and CPU intrinsics.
- Programming fluency in modern C/C++ with a deep understanding of algorithms and optimization techniques.
- Good communication and organization skills with a logical approach to problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Research and develop techniques to accelerate large scale applications on NVIDIA's CPU platforms.
- Perform in-depth analysis and optimization of complex database and data analytics workloads.
- Publish and present optimization techniques in developer blogs or relevant conferences.
- Influence the design of next-generation hardware architectures and software in collaboration with various teams.
