Job description

The Senior Accelerated Computing Architect at NVIDIA will focus on developing software and system architectures for high performance computing, machine learning, and AI. This role involves optimizing performance on NVIDIA GPUs and collaborating with various teams to guide accelerated computing initiatives. The architect will also engage in software-hardware co-design and contribute to the documentation of their work through publications and patents. Requirements

  • An MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong mathematical fundamentals, including linear algebra and numerical methods.
  • Hands-on experience with the massively parallel GPU programming model, such as CUDA or OpenCL.
  • Strong knowledge of C and C++ with a solid understanding of software design and algorithms.
  • Good communication and organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth analysis and optimization for NVIDIA GPUs.
  • Create and optimize core parallel algorithms and data structures.
  • Analyze the interplay of hardware and software architectures on core algorithms.
  • Collaborate with hardware design, software engineering, product, and research teams.
  • Engage in accelerated computing applications for software-hardware co-design.
  • Write and present work through white papers, conference publications, and patents.
