The Principal Engineer will lead the deployment of advanced AI agent frameworks and local runtimes on Windows and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs. This role focuses on ensuring that open-source AI agents operate efficiently and securely on consumer PCs. The engineer will collaborate with internal teams and the open-source community to create a robust desktop AI operating system. The position requires a blend of technical architecture, performance optimization, and mentorship within a collaborative engineering culture.
Requirements
- 15+ years of relevant professional software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a Principal, Staff, or Lead Architect role.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Deep understanding of Windows OS internals, process isolation, sandboxing technologies, and system-level security architecture.
- Proven understanding of LLM inference pipelines, GPU-accelerated computing, and experience running local models on consumer-grade hardware.
- Practical experience with modern AI orchestration and agentic frameworks.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages, particularly C++, Python, and TypeScript.
- Strong ability to translate sophisticated architectural concepts into clear technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Act as the lead architect for deploying the NemoClaw framework natively on Windows environments.
- Guide the engineering efforts to optimize the agent runtimes for Windows.
- Design the integration of NemoClaw with NVIDIA's hardware and middleware stack.
- Partner closely with internal AI research teams, driver teams, and the open-source OpenClaw community.
- Foster a collaborative engineering culture by mentoring senior engineers and establishing best practices.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
