Job description
As a Compliance Engineer at Amazon Lab126, you will leverage your expertise in Radio Frequency (RF) and ElectroMagnetic Compatibility (EMC) to ensure product certification processes are met. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design innovative wireless products while navigating global regulatory compliance schemes. Your role will involve engaging with regulatory agencies and conducting hands-on testing to solve complex compliance challenges. You will also communicate regulatory matters effectively to design teams to drive compliant designs from early development phases.
Requirements
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.
- Experience with the project management of technical projects.
- Familiarity with North American and Global standards and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Research and specify regulatory and industry compliance requirements in collaboration with the product management and design teams.
- Plan and direct compliance testing of hardware platforms, devices, and accessories with external 3rd party test labs.
- Support the design team through product execution to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Perform detailed independent research and literature reviews to resolve ambiguous regulatory compliance issues.
- Deliver concise and informative compliance updates to leadership.
- Work with manufacturing partners and labs to ensure all in-production devices remain compliant with certifications.
