Job description
The Senior Engineer role focuses on leading the development of a new EC2 Service that is essential for scaling Machine Learning and HPC Platforms. Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor or tech lead for an engineering team
- Experience writing low-level drivers or embedded development in C/C++
- 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience with highly scalable systems
- Experience with embedded systems
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and integration testing of new products and features on the EC2 Nitro System.
- Set high standards for development processes, tools, and automation to enhance team productivity and quality.
- Own the team architecture and define best engineering practices for design and coding.
- Identify business problems and advocate for technical solutions that influence the technical roadmap.
- Mentor engineers in scoping, design, and developing scalable and maintainable code.
- Collaborate with Principal Engineers, Product Managers, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement solutions.
