Job description
This role is part of AWS Infrastructure Services, focusing on the design and operation of AWS global infrastructure. The team, Shield, is dedicated to protecting AWS infrastructure from sophisticated internet attacks. You will work on innovative solutions to safeguard critical systems while collaborating with a diverse group of engineers and specialists. The position emphasizes creative problem-solving and high-stakes engineering to ensure customer traffic flows safely and reliably.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
Responsibilities
- Design the future of AWS security architecture
- Architect the next generation of protection mechanisms for AWS and its customers
- Work on existing and greenfield projects to detect, mitigate, and prevent attacks
- Collaborate closely with research and DDoS response teams to enhance attack mitigation
