Job description

This role is for a software engineer at Woot!, where you will have the opportunity to innovate systems and tools that drive the business. You will work within the Conversion Team, focusing on enhancing the checkout and post-purchase experience for customers. The position emphasizes technical ownership, system design, and collaboration with product managers and junior engineers. Requirements

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and operations.
  • 5+ years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design experience.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of strategic projects, building scalable, low-latency products and services.
  • Deliver high-quality, cloud-first AWS solutions while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with and mentor junior engineers, conducting technical assessments and code reviews.
  • Convert business requirements to technical designs through stakeholder collaboration.
  • Work with senior engineers to evolve product design and set software quality standards.
