Requirements
- 8+ years of engineering experience
- Experience with DFx (Design for cost, test, manufacturing)
- BS in Mechanical, Robotics or Mechatronics Engineering or similar field
- SolidWorks or similar CAD experience
- Hands-on experience crafting proof-of-concept models and prototypes
- Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers
- Thorough understanding of technical principles in hardware development
- Extensive system design experience interfacing with electro-mechanical subsystems
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively communicate concepts and write technical documents
- Experience with full product lifecycle
- Ability to support domestic and international travel as required
Responsibilities
- Work with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production.
- Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality organizations to ensure smooth product launch.
- Write functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
- Exhibit thorough engineering analysis and cradle to grave ownership.
- Design and adapt holistic hardware solutions for ambiguous problems.
