Job description
As a Network Engineer within AWS Infrastructure, you will be responsible for deploying and automating network infrastructure that supports various Amazon services. This full-time position requires in-office work, where you will collaborate with automation teams to define tools for scaling network operations. You will engage with internal customers to bring network designs and solutions from concept to production. The role offers the opportunity to work across multiple global datacenters, enhancing the efficiency and quality of network deployments.
Requirements
- Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Telecommunications or related fields.
- Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols.
- Knowledge of network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting.
- Experience in major internet routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF.
- Experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS and Junos.
- Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.
- Experience scripting with Python, Perl, Bash or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architectures.
- Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
- Create simple, repetitive deployment processes that increase both velocity and quality.
- Create and update network standards and ensure that the network is deployed to these standards.
- Work closely with internal customers on designs and solutions, bringing those designs and solutions from concept to production.
