Job description

The Photos team at Apple is seeking a talented UI software engineer to contribute to the next generation of image- and video-editing features. This role involves working closely with design, computer vision, and machine learning technologies to create innovative user experiences. Requirements

  • Proven programming fundamentals and knowledge of object-oriented programming.
  • Experience building projects using Objective-C or Swift, and iOS or macOS SDKs.
  • Good sense of UI design and a passion to focus on every detail, large and small.
  • Excels at solving and debugging hard problems.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant work experience.
  • Experience in API design and maintenance.
  • Experience in crafting custom UI components.
  • Enjoys working with, learning from, and mentoring teammates from different disciplines and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new image- and video-editing features for the Photos ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to create user-friendly interfaces.
  • Ensure high-quality code and performance optimization.
  • Mentor and support team members from various backgrounds.
  • Debug and resolve complex technical issues.
