Job description
The Apple Health team is seeking an Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to lead the design and development of health and wellness products for iPhone and Apple Watch. This role involves working with various skilled teams to ensure the successful execution of projects from early stages through to testing and evaluation. The EPM will navigate complex goals and potential risks while maintaining a focus on quality and schedule. The position requires a blend of engineering expertise and project management skills to drive impactful features for users.
Requirements
- BSME, BSEE, BME degree or equivalent in any engineering field
- Practicing engineer prior to becoming a project manager
- 3+ years of related engineering background in computer, consumer electronics, or health technologies
- Proven experience developing schedules with mechanical, electrical, software, and regulatory milestones
- Experience managing vendors and development builds with manufacturers
- Strong presentation skills, including preparing a clear message deck
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of health and wellness products
- Work with Hardware, Software, Clinical, Studies, Hardware Technology, Human Interface, and Industrial Design teams
- Identify and resolve potential risks to the schedule and quality of the product
- Refine product definitions through full integration and testing of hardware and software prototypes
- Forecast project budgets and manage development builds
