Job description
The Data Center Project Manager, Electrical will oversee the full lifecycle of electrical systems for data center construction projects at Apple. This role is part of the Global Design and Construction team, which is responsible for delivering mission-critical data center projects. The position requires strong project management skills and hands-on electrical oversight experience. The focus is on ensuring the successful delivery of electrical systems while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience focused on hyperscale or large-scale colocation data center construction and commissioning.
- Demonstrated experience managing the electrical equipment procurement lifecycle including bid leveling and vendor milestone schedule management.
- Hands-on experience developing and executing Commissioning (Cx) Plans for electrical systems.
- Familiarity with NETA acceptance testing standards and the ability to review NETA-compliant test reports.
- Working knowledge of MV and LV power distribution, UPS systems, and associated control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents including electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, NETA standards, and applicable construction safety standards.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 40-50% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full electrical equipment lifecycle from design and procurement through commissioning and closeout.
- Ensure alignment with project objectives and program standards.
- Collaborate closely with design partners, contractors, and internal operations teams.
- Drive project success from planning to closeout.
- Oversee the successful delivery of all electrical systems for data center construction projects.
