Job description

Apple is seeking a passionate engineer to contribute to the development of innovative mobile devices. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical design skills and excel in leading projects within a multi-functional team. This role involves building prototypes for design validation and conducting failure analysis. Additionally, the engineer will work on-site at contract manufacturers in India to implement and integrate iPhones for large-scale production.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of mechanical design experience using a variety of fabrication processes
  • 3+ years of consumer electronics design experience with complex products and large multidisciplinary teams
  • A solid understanding of engineering fundamentals including heat transfer and mechanics of materials
  • Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
  • Strong proficiency in Siemens NX for components, assemblies, and drawings
  • Experience working with electrical engineers to layout and build custom PCBs/FPCs
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline

Responsibilities
