Job description

The Operations Finance team is seeking a Data Engineer to enhance their financial data platform. This role involves collaborating with logistics and supply-chain businesses to improve costing and forecasting processes. The engineer will work closely with engineering teams to develop automation solutions and data models. The position requires strong technical skills and a focus on data quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience as a data engineer building end-to-end data pipelines
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Advanced SQL skills for complex transformations, optimization, and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in Python for writing clean and maintainable code
  • Experience with scheduling systems and CI/CD tools such as Airflow and Jenkins
  • Hands-on experience with relational database management systems such as Snowflake or PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and Accounting processes is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Understand, document, and re-engineer logistics costing and forecasting processes
  • Design and build scalable data models and business solutions using tools like Dataiku
  • Partner with engineering teams to create applications that improve reporting efficiency
  • Strengthen data quality and drive automation in financial processes
  • Make recommendations to senior leadership based on data analysis
  • Collaborate closely with logistics and supply chain finance business partners
