Job description
The Operations Team within the CS&E organization is essential for maintaining the stability and performance of customer-facing applications that serve millions of users. This team focuses on operational excellence through automation, cloud infrastructure management, and proactive monitoring. The DevOps Engineer will ensure seamless integration between development and operations, leveraging expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure management. Collaboration with development, security, and business teams is key to meeting Apple's standards of Site Reliability and Security.
Requirements
- 6+ years of proven experience as an Ops/SRE Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with Cloud Fleet deployment strategies using Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, or equivalent.
- Strong programming and scripting skills with languages such as Bash, Python, Node, or Java.
- Proficiency in CI/CD using Jenkins and GitHub.
- Experience with observability technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or similar.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Cloud migrations.
- Familiarity with AEM upgrades, troubleshooting, and Apache upgrades.
- Experience in handling high-priority incidents and root cause analysis.
