Job description
This role involves working within the wireless SOC organization at Apple, focusing on the development of highly energy efficient wireless silicon. The team is dedicated to innovating new technologies that enhance user experience and push the boundaries of wireless systems. You will collaborate with various product development groups to integrate improved hardware elements into cohesive designs. The position requires a strong background in RF/analog layout and a commitment to excellence in engineering.
Requirements
- 8+ years of related experience is required.
- Strong understanding of RC delay, electromigration, and coupling is necessary.
- Ability to identify failure-prone circuit and layout structures and work proactively with circuit designers.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams are essential.
- Knowledge of layout techniques for device matching, minimizing parasitics, RF shielding, and high-frequency routing is required.
- Experience in custom RF/analog layout for radio transceivers with knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS is necessary.
- High proficiency in interpreting CALIBRE DRC, ERC, LVS in FinFet Technology is required.
- Extensive knowledge of CADENCE layout tools is necessary.
- Scripting skills in PERL or SKILL are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Conduct block level and top-level layout through the full verification flow.
- Collaborate with designers on block-level and top-level floorplanning.
- Perform layout reviews for power and ground routing, electromigration, and signal path checks.
- Manage top-level layout integration and verification schedules.
- Lead other layout engineers in top-level integration efforts.
