Job description

The Senior Engineering Project Manager will lead complex projects within the IS&T Retail Engineering organization at Apple, focusing on the Apple Online Store. This role requires a passionate expert to manage the entire lifecycle of large-scale projects that impact millions of customers globally. The position emphasizes collaboration with engineers, product managers, and designers to drive results. Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience as an Engineering Project/Program Manager, Technical Project Manager, or similar role managing complex software development projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in managing complex software development projects.
  • Experience driving highly complex projects using Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce, distributed systems, microservices, and/or cloud technologies.
  • Industry recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scrum Master certification.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire lifecycle of highly complex, large-scale projects and feature areas.
  • Conduct business requirements analysis and technical design discussions.
  • Drive and deliver on every aspect of the project.
  • Manage budgets and forecast resource needs.
  • Facilitate collaboration among engineers, product managers, and designers.
  • Contribute to technical discussions and provide informed perspectives on architectural decisions.
