Job description
As a machine learning engineer in Finance at Apple, you will play a crucial role in building data foundations and platforms that deliver insights and automate decisions for the Finance organization. You will lead efforts in product cost support while collaborating with a multi-discipline engineering team. Your expertise in engineering practices and business processes will be essential in operationalizing AI solutions. This position requires a blend of technical leadership and a strong understanding of finance-related data.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in an engineering role
- At least one year of experience effectively leading engineers and collaborating cross-functionally
- Experience building data models and scalable pipelines using SQL and big data technologies
- Experience developing in Python while following DRY principles and testing standards
- Experience applying ML algorithms for regression, classification, and anomaly detection
- Graduate degree in computer science, data science, math, quantitative finance, or a similar discipline
- Undergraduate degree in computer science, data science, finance, economics, accounting, or a related business discipline
- Previous experience working in a corporate finance, accounting, or supply chain organization
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical efforts for product cost within the Operations Finance organization
- Collaborate with data and software engineers, product managers, and program managers
- Operationalize AI solutions to bridge the gap between prototype and production
- Instill strong engineering practices into team machine learning processes
- Deliver value to the Finance organization through rapid and reliable AI implementations
