The AV & Broadcast Engineer will be the primary technical lead for live events, broadcast productions, and AV conference room operations within Apple's IS&T Services Multimedia and Events team. This role involves designing, supporting, and operating broadcast and event production systems for Apple's live events and executive presentations. The engineer will ensure flawless operation of live events and provide high-level technical support to senior executives and high-profile guests. Collaboration with various stakeholders and production teams is essential to deliver seamless broadcast experiences.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Computer Science or other Engineering fields, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in broadcast engineering, AV engineering, and live event production.
- 5+ years of expertise supporting live broadcast environments including streaming, switching, and audio engineering.
- 5+ years of experience as a technical director, audio engineer, camera operator, mixer, and streaming engineer.
- 5+ years of proficiency with streaming and web conferencing platforms including Zoom, WebEx, or Livestream.
- 5+ years of experience supporting and maintaining enterprise conference room AV systems.
- 5+ years of strong understanding of signal flow, routing, and distribution.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with camera systems and audio consoles.
- 5+ years of experience with specialty room configurations.
- Knowledge of video encoding and transcoding standards.
- Experience with intercom and communication systems in live production environments.
- Experience with LED wall and large-format display technology.
- Experience troubleshooting complex AV and broadcast systems in live environments.
- Ability to lead technical discussions with stakeholders.
- Proven ability to provide white-glove service in sensitive environments.
