Job description

The Apple Data Platform team is seeking extraordinary software engineers to enhance their scalable streaming processing systems. This role focuses on pushing the limits of distributed stateful streaming computing frameworks, ensuring high performance and reliability. Candidates will work closely with internal teams and external communities to drive innovation in data-intensive applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various data processing frameworks and a passion for collaboration.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering
  • Demonstrated experience with distributed systems
  • At least 2 years of experience running production applications using Apache Flink
  • BS or MS degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience
  • Good knowledge of Apache Iceberg and Apache Kafka
  • Experience building connectors from Flink to various data sources
  • Familiarity with Yarn, Kubernetes, or other compute substrates

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize scalable streaming processing systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance data ingestion and processing capabilities
