Job description
As a leader of the Sensing Systems team, you will design, develop, and launch next-generation Touch ID sensors that enhance security and user experience for Apple's products. This role involves engaging in the entire sensor development lifecycle, applying expertise in analog and digital circuits. You will tackle challenges related to analog sensing, signal integrity, and miniaturization. Your leadership will guide a passionate engineering team in creating cutting-edge fingerprint biometric sensors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- 5+ years of lead or management experience.
- Strong foundation in analog circuit fundamentals.
- Experience with product development from early architecture through mass production.
- Experience in sensor designs or biometric system development.
- Proficiency in MATLAB and Python scripting tools.
- Experience with statistical analysis of production data using tools like JMP or Tableau.
- Experience in FEA, simulation, and modeling tools such as Comsol, ANSYS, or Maxwell.
- Proficiency with test equipment and circuit simulation tools like SPICE.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of cutting-edge fingerprint biometric sensors.
- Engage in the entire sensor development lifecycle from concept to mass production.
- Design sensing modules and evaluate coexistence, electrical performance, and product integration.
- Influence cross-functional design and decisions through complex technical issues.
- Represent the team's work in high-stakes forums and shape technical strategy.
- Mentor others in presenting their work effectively.
- Create engineering design, requirement, and specification documents.
