Job description

This role involves developing test methods to investigate the physical effects of optical sensor systems at Apple. You will work within a dynamic team focused on creating innovative optical technology prototypes. The position requires a strong background in optical science and hands-on experience with optical systems. Requirements

  • BS degree in Optics, Physics, Applied Physics, EE, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and testing free-space optical systems
  • Programming experience using MATLAB, Python, or similar tools
  • MS or PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, Optics, EE, or a related field
  • Theoretical understanding and experimental background in optical physics
  • Understanding of semiconductor laser sources, photodetectors, and optical measurement techniques
  • Proficiency with optical simulation tools and techniques, including sequential and non-sequential raytracing software
  • Experience interfacing and automating control of optical-lab instruments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary engineering team environment
