Job description
This role at Apple focuses on overseeing new product and process development from launch to early sustaining phases. The team is dedicated to maintaining high standards and ensuring contract manufacturer readiness for high volume production. Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in engineering and manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field
- Meaningful experience in introducing products into high volume manufacturing
- Excellent project management skills, particularly in Planning, Cost, and Delivery
- Knowledgeable in crafting equipment qualification requirements and design of experiments
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is favorable
- Experience working in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders
- Direct experience leading functional engineering teams such as Mechanical, Process, Electrical, or Test Engineering is a plus
- Knowledgeable in tolerance stack ups for assemblies and part level
- Strong knowledge of GD&T principles is a plus
- Working knowledge of pneumatics, servomotors, PLC, and PC-based control systems is a plus
- Experience with JMP, Minitab, and Six Sigma is a plus
