Job description
The AirPrint team is focused on building technologies that simplify and secure printing across Apple platforms. They are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers in delivering new software features, security updates, and bug fixes for macOS, iOS, and VisionOS. This role requires a self-motivated individual with strong technical and project management skills. The manager will play a crucial role in driving software development and ensuring high-quality feature delivery.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in a leadership role managing Software Engineering teams
- 5 years of experience in software development in C/C++
- Technical experience designing and implementing OS-level software and systems
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience coding in C/C++/Objective-C
- Experience working with networking systems
- Experience working with external consumer electronics companies
Responsibilities
- Drive software development via architecture discussions, coding, and code reviews
- Define product features, functional specs, resource planning, and development schedules
- Scope and prioritize features and bug fixes
- Represent the team and its technology in technical and project meetings
- Advise and encourage engineering best practices to deliver quality features
