Job description
The Tools and Automation Engineer will be part of a small but impactful team within iCloud, focusing on developing and maintaining test automation frameworks for iOS, macOS, and Web. This role requires a motivated individual who can thrive in a dynamic environment and contribute innovative solutions to enhance product quality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. This position emphasizes collaboration across multiple teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and product reliability.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience working as a Software Test Automation Engineer.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA processes.
- Proven Software QA/black box testing experience.
- Strong understanding and application of programming and scripting languages such as Swift and Python.
- Experience designing and building automated test frameworks.
- Proficient in creating automation test plans and test cases using XCTest.
- Knowledge of WebDriver protocol, Selenium or Appium.
- Experience diagnosing and debugging complex systems.
- Familiarity with AI/ML model development, deployment, and evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Own the development, maintenance, and expansion of test automation capabilities for iCloud's core products.
- Analyze existing codebases and contribute to their improvement.
- Develop new automation strategies to address evolving business needs.
- Create robust, maintainable, and scalable automation solutions.
- Lead quality for cross-functional efforts.
- Collaborate with various teams to achieve project objectives.
- Investigate, debug, and triage difficult problems both independently and cooperatively.
