Job description

The Wireless System Engineer at Apple will work on innovative wireless SoC products that enhance user experiences. This role involves system integration, characterization, and debugging of wireless technologies. The engineer will collaborate with a dynamic team to ensure optimal performance of Apple products. This position requires a strong understanding of communication theory and hands-on experience with wireless systems.

Requirements

  • BS degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience in wireless system design, integration, or bring-up
  • MSEE or Ph.D. with relevant experience
  • Knowledge of wireless communication protocols such as 802.11 and LTE
  • Understanding of communication theory and key Tx/Rx metrics
  • Experience with radio calibration algorithms
  • Experience in system bring-up, integration, characterization, and debug of wireless silicon
  • Familiarity with wireless/RF test equipment
  • Experience in developing test automation and related tools
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Matlab, Perl, C/C++, or C#
  • Experience with automation infrastructure development

Responsibilities

  • Integrate and characterize state-of-the-art wireless SoC products
  • Bring up and integrate PHY/Radio components
  • Execute PHY and radio level characterization on internal silicon solutions
  • Engage in debugging and tuning of the PHY and radio system operation
  • Optimize performance using communication theory and calibration algorithms
  • Utilize test equipment to identify and resolve issues
  • Develop automation scripts and tools for testing and reporting
