Job description
The AirPods Firmware team is seeking a firmware engineer to contribute to the development of platform technologies and system integration for Apple's consumer audio products. This individual contributor role involves influencing the technology and product roadmap while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The engineer will work on a variety of technologies, from low-level system architecture to product-specific features. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of proven excellence in firmware, embedded software, embedded product development, or equivalent experience
- Solid C/C++ coding abilities
- Strong embedded system design and software debugging skills
- Experience with MCUs, peripherals, features, and development environments
- Passion for product ownership and a track record of product development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is a plus
- Familiarity with real-time audio technologies such as sample rates, buffering, I2S, PCM, and drivers is a plus
- Knowledge of USB or wireless technologies is a plus

- Architect, develop, and deliver platform and product firmware for Apple's audio products.
