Job description

Apple's wireless silicon development team is seeking a Wireless ASIC/FPGA Prototyping Design Engineer to contribute to the development of signal processing intensive designs for wireless communication SoCs. This role involves working within a dynamic team focused on energy-efficient and low-power design technologies that enhance user experiences. The engineer will play a crucial role in getting functional products to millions of customers quickly. The position requires a strong background in computer architecture and wireless applications.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in FPGA flow.
  • Knowledge of digital design, chip architecture, and microarchitecture.
  • Experience in scripting and modeling languages such as Shell, C, Python, or Perl.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment, hardware bring-up, and debugging.
  • Strong background in computer architecture and wireless applications.
  • Familiarity with AMD's flow including design entry in Verilog, synthesis, place and route, timing constraints, and timing closure.
  • Experience with emulation platforms such as Palladium.
  • Excellent communication skills and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop signal processing intensive designs for wireless communication SoCs.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to drive production test and QA methodologies.
  • Utilize lab equipment for hardware bring-up and debugging.
  • Engage in system debug architecture and ensure compliance with wireless standards.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of bus fabric and peripherals.
