Job description
Join Apple's cellular wireless design team as an RFIC Transceiver Validation Engineer, where you will validate advanced RF cellular transceivers. Your role will focus on ensuring that highly integrated transceiver designs deliver exceptional performance for billions of connections worldwide. You will work on advanced technology nodes and drive validation strategies that enhance user experience. Requirements
- BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience required.
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience in RF validation, RF testing, or Silicon characterization.
- Hands-on experience bringing up and testing RFICs, including system integration, characterization, and optimization.
- Strong verification, problem-solving, and debugging skills with demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex RF issues.
- Proficiency with lab equipment, including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, phase noise analyzers, oscilloscopes, and DC analyzers.
- Experience with bench automation and scripting languages such as Python.
- MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Understanding of board schematics and layout; experience defining hardware board requirements for lab validation.
- Experience with mmWave technology.
- Experience with Digital Signal Processing verification and algorithm validation.
- Demonstrated experience supporting ATE engineers and/or mass production testing.
- Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams in silicon bring-up and validation environments.
Responsibilities
- Design test strategies and develop validation frameworks for cellular SoCs.
- Ensure cellular SoCs meet rigorous design specifications.
- Leverage specialized test platforms and automation to characterize and optimize RF performance.
- Drive silicon bring-up and debug complex issues.
- Continuously improve validation methodologies.
