Job description
Apple is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Analytics Commerce area for Apple Media Products. This role focuses on developing large-scale Data Pipelines and Analytical solutions using Big Data technologies. The ideal candidate will work across disciplines and collaborate with engineers, project managers, and analytics teams. The position requires a passion for data and a commitment to improving customer experience and business outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering, with at least 2 years as an Engineering Manager.
- 2+ years of experience working with Commerce and Analytics data.
- Experience working with PII and GDPR data.
- Experience in hiring, growing, and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in distributed data processing using Big Data technologies like Spark, Scala, Java, Flink, Hadoop, Cassandra, and Kafka.
- Proficiency in data modeling, data design, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Analytics Commerce team in developing data-driven solutions.
- Hire and mentor small engineering teams to enhance performance.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Engineering Managers, and Analytics teams on new data pipelines.
- Create batch and streaming solutions using state-of-the-art technologies.
- Ensure high-quality results while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
