The Core Virtualization team is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to ensure the quality of Virtualization technologies for Apple. This role involves working with macOS and Linux in a virtualized environment across all Apple products. The SDET will focus on automated testing to enhance the customer experience when running various operating systems in virtualization. Collaboration with multi-functional software teams is essential to develop and integrate system software and user-facing features.
Requirements
- High level understanding of the software quality engineering discipline and testing levels.
- Experience developing object-oriented, reusable, efficient, and scalable automated test code.
- Fluency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Objective-C, Swift, C, C++, or Java.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or demonstrated relevant industry experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with executing and managing Jenkins or equivalent CI infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with one or more virtualization or container technologies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality of the customer experience when running macOS, Linux, or Windows in virtualization.
- Develop and execute automated tests to validate software quality.
