Job description
The Security Enablement Team at Apple is seeking software engineers passionate about security to build foundational software and services that secure critical systems like iCloud and Apple Music. This role focuses on foundational security architecture, data protection, compliance, and governance. Engineers will work on designing, coding, and deploying high-performance systems with security integrated from the start. The position requires collaboration with a diverse set of technologies, including large-scale distributed data services and cloud-native platforms.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering and building large scale distributed systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Go, and Python.
- Knowledge of securing APIs, including input validation, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
- Good understanding of operating systems concepts including multi-threading, memory management, and networking.
- Hands-on experience with systems configuration and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of network security principles, protocols, and technologies.
- Familiarity with incident response processes.
- Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and protocols for securing data.
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth and JWT.
