Job description
The Systems Integration Engineer will provide hands-on support for data center development programs and labs. This role requires collaboration with multiple teams to develop, support, and sustain servers deployed at scale. The engineer will leverage their expertise in systems architecture to solve complex problems. This position is crucial for ensuring the efficiency and reliability of data center operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or electronics engineering.
- 5 years of server and/or data center related experience.
- Experience with server architecture and component firmware upgrade processes.
- Proficiency in scripting and coding, particularly in Python and Bash.
- Experience with automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Ansible.
- Prior hardware and OS level debugging experience.
- Validated understanding of provisioning and boot processes such as UEFI, DHCP, DNS, and PXE/Netboot.
- Master's degree in computer engineering or electronics engineering is preferred.
- Experience optimizing Linux systems by tuning the kernel and configuring NIC drivers.
Responsibilities
- Support early product development life-cycle by installing and setting up data center hardware.
- Run tests on pre-production hardware and document results.
- Build, maintain, and debug both custom and OEM hardware.
- Deploy proof of concept hardware and software setups for use at scale.
- Test hardware under various environmental conditions for power and temperature.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware development, validation, logistics, and software development teams.
