Job description
The Apple Services Engineering Security team is seeking exceptional data engineers to enhance the security of Apple's services globally. This role involves managing security needs and building security controls to protect customer data. The team focuses on addressing security challenges in software supply chain, security posture, and risk management. Candidates will leverage their expertise in distributed data processing to improve data usage for Apple's products and applications.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience working with Spark and other distributed data technologies such as Hadoop, Presto, Flink, and Druid.
- Highly proficient in at least one of Java, Python, or Scala.
- Deep expertise in Data Principles, Data Architecture, and Data Modeling with strong SQL skills.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud resources including S3, EC2, and RDS.
- MS or BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in Software or Data Engineering.
- Experience with Cloud Computing platforms like Amazon AWS and Google Cloud.
- Understanding of the OSI model and network operations including Load Balancers and Routers.
- Experience building stream-processing applications using technologies like Apache Flink, Spark-Streaming, and Kafka Streams.
- Experience with Search systems such as ElasticSearch and NoSQL datastores like HBase and MongoDB.
- Experience building distributed, high-volume data services.
