The Swift Compiler Team at Apple offers a unique opportunity to enhance the Swift programming language and its associated developer tools. This role seeks a software engineering manager who is passionate about programming languages and the developer experience. Requirements
- Experience working on compilers, frameworks, or other developer tools.
- Experience with software design and programming in a statically-typed language such as C++ or Swift.
- Enthusiasm for both technical leadership and people leadership.
- Experience with the Swift programming language.
- People management and/or technical leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaboratively improve the Swift language and compiler.
- Enhance compile-time performance.
- Improve the Swift developer experience through diagnostics and compiler-driven tools.
- Communicate and provide feedback across various roles in software engineering.
- Influence design decisions on the Swift programming language and its tools.
