Job description
Apple is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Apple Services Engineering team, focusing on building distributed large-scale data processing systems. The role involves collaborating with Apple TV and Video teams to enhance customer experiences through innovative data solutions. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining production-grade applications using Java and/or Scala.
- 3+ years of experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems using technologies such as Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Apache Kafka, or Cassandra.
- Hands-on experience working with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, including building MCP Servers and designing Agentic workflows.
- Good understanding of software engineering principles and fundamentals including algorithms and data structures.
- Self-directed and self-motivated with the ability to create architecture and design documents.
- Ability to assemble multi-functional requirements and translate them into practical engineering tasks.
Responsibilities
- Architect real-time streaming pipelines with Apache Flink to process millions of events per second.
- Build intelligent AI Agentic workflows and MCP servers to enhance automation and decision-making.
- Design LangGraph-powered workflows to integrate Large Language Models into production-grade data systems.
- Ensure systems scale effortlessly, remain highly available, and deliver consistent results.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to meet critical business requirements using data-driven insights.
