You will drive end-to-end research and development to create high-quality summaries for Apple users, utilizing on-device and server-based models. The position involves improving the quality of summarization models for knowledge-seeking questions and web content. You will also collaborate with various teams to integrate these models into the Apple ecosystem, ensuring a delightful user experience.

• 8+ years of experience in leading engineering, applied research, or machine learning in natural language processing and generative AI models.
• Proven record of consistent delivery of technology and products across the full machine learning life cycle.
• MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, information retrieval, data mining, or a related field.
• Strong background and experience in machine learning, natural language processing, and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
