Job description

Apple is looking for a Display Module Optical Engineer to drive the development of next-generation display technologies. This role involves exploring optics and developing integration processes for advanced optical components. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to create innovative solutions for future display systems. The position requires a strong focus on system-level modeling and optimization of performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in optical design and characterization, optical modeling, and display technologies.
  • Experience leading engineering builds and managing module deliverables across development phases.
  • Experience with optical measurement systems for testing and validation.
  • Proficiency in data acquisition and analysis tools such as Python and MATLAB.

Responsibilities

  • Explore optics and develop module-level integration processes for advanced optical components.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver manufacturable solutions.
  • Contribute to system-level modeling to support design decisions and validation.
  • Partner with teams to understand design tolerances and optimize system performance.
  • Validate system behavior through engineering builds and design of experiments.
