Job description
The Product Operations Test Engineering team is focused on optimizing Apple production test lines through innovative test equipment and methods. They are looking for a Test Lead to develop and manage tools for testing and calibrating components across all Apple products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test station development and will excel in communication and collaboration with various teams. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to drive productivity and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of hardware/software architecture and interoperability of complex systems
- Master's degree or higher in engineering or a related field
- Prior technical leadership and/or technical project management experience
- Exceptional problem solving ability
- Prior experience with display or optics technology
- Experience in Test Engineering or test station development
- Six Sigma and/or Project Management certification
- Experience with FMEA and FA processes
- Knowledge of statistical data analysis methods and tools
- Experience interfacing with factory teams and bringing up production lines
- Software development experience in Python or C++
Responsibilities
- Develop and own tools for testing and calibrating components for Apple products.
- Drive effective communication and collaboration across all teams.
- Optimize production test lines for productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Introduce new concepts for production test line architecture and methods.
- Conduct root-cause analysis of issues and recommend design improvements.
