Job description

The Senior Backend Software Engineer will join Apple's Evaluation organization, which focuses on building platforms and tools to enhance Apple Intelligence features while ensuring user data protection. This role involves designing and developing the Annotation Platform, which is crucial for the optimization of Apple's AI and machine learning features. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software design and development, particularly with Java and the Spring Boot framework. Requirements

  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience with Java.
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with the Spring Boot framework.
  • Proven track record in designing, building, and maintaining complex web applications.
  • Knowledge of database systems and experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Distributed Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop the Annotation Platform for AI/ML feature optimization.
  • Create reliable, high-performance, and reusable code and modules.
  • Ensure application stability and performance using testing frameworks.
  • Collaborate with frontend teams to iteratively develop self-service solutions.
