Job description

The Xcode team is responsible for developing the core environment used by Apple developers globally. As an Xcode Engineering Project Manager (EPM), you will lead key initiatives for Xcode Cloud and partner-team integrations. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle. You will advocate for improved developer experiences and drive project outcomes through effective collaboration.

Requirements

  • Proven experience independently owning and delivering complex software or infrastructure programs end-to-end.
  • Strong technical intuition and understanding of basic engineering concepts.
  • Expert communicator capable of influencing without authority.
  • Demonstrated executive presence and ability to communicate with senior leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in software engineering and project management.
  • Familiarity with modern infrastructure concepts such as cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience integrating AI-powered experiences with an understanding of basic model concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineering and product teams to define and deliver project roadmaps, schedules, and milestones.
  • Present project status authoritatively to multi-functional teams and executive management.
  • Manage cross-functional interactions to deliver on Xcode projects.
  • Work independently and proactively to influence other teams positively.
  • Operate internal tools and bug tracking software to assess project progress and update plans as needed.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
