Job description

The Apple Home group is looking for an enthusiastic team member to join their growing team focused on developing groundbreaking devices with complex hardware, sensors, and software. This role involves designing and developing hardware systems for future Apple products while working closely with a multi-disciplinary team. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication and leadership skills, along with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. The position emphasizes both detailed design work and high-level system understanding.

Requirements

  • BS in electrical engineering or computer engineering
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience focusing on hardware system design
  • Strong working experience in electrical design, including component selection and circuit design
  • Excellent EE fundamentals and analog design knowledge focusing on DC/DC and power integrity
  • Knowledge of embedded processor peripheral interfaces such as PCIe, USB, and I2C
  • MS in electrical engineering or computer engineering is preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience focusing on hardware system design is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own the electrical architecture and implementation of hardware systems
  • Create schematics and be responsible for layout
  • Conduct bringup and debugging of hardware systems
  • Validate hardware through rigorous testing
  • Prototype proof of concepts for new designs
