Job description

As a Simulation Engineer on the Camera Simulation team, you will focus on developing simulation frameworks and tooling that support the design and validation of next-generation camera systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware design specifications and key performance metrics. The role involves rapidly prototyping and developing camera models and application tooling to enhance user experiences. Your work will help transform engineering workflows across the organization.

Requirements

  • BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Programming experience in Python or C++.
  • Experience with camera simulation, optical modeling, image signal processing, computer vision, computational photography, or calibration systems.
  • Experience working with AI/ML tools and frameworks for imaging, data analysis, or automation.
  • MS/PhD in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with optical simulation, ISP pipelines, sensor modeling, computer vision, or computational photography or AI/ML for imaging.
  • Familiarity with simulation frameworks or synthetic data generation pipelines.
  • Track record of building tools or platforms adopted by other engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Rapidly prototype and develop simulation frameworks and camera models.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to understand their simulation needs.
  • Deliver working solutions quickly and document best practices.
  • Build simulation pipelines that improve turnaround times for engineering tasks.
