Job description
The Engineering Program Manager will support the Wireless Systems & Compliance Engineering team by managing multiple RF test-related projects crucial for the timely release of Apple products. This individual contributor role involves ensuring that Apple products meet RF performance specifications and comply with government and industry regulations. The candidate will work closely with RF test engineers and technicians, coordinating testing efforts across various locations. The focus will be on project management, technical collaboration, and effective communication with multi-functional teams.
Requirements
- BS degree with 3 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of RF Test Equipment or cellular standards including WCDMA, LTE, and 5G
- Understanding of 3GPP RF test specifications
- General knowledge of WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS
- 2+ years of Technical Program or Project Management experience
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple parallel projects related to RF testing.
- Collaborate closely with RF test engineers and technicians to develop compliance testing plans.
- Coordinate and drive build-readiness reviews for Apple products.
- Manage specification reviews and the specification sign-off process.
- Communicate with System EPMs to coordinate regulatory testing timelines.
- Work with factory teams to enable RF testing during development and mass production.
- Attend and drive technical sessions with suppliers and design partners to address issues.
- Facilitate collaboration sessions with multi-functional team members to track feature enablement.
- Present project progress to management in weekly multi-functional meetings.
- Prepare issue and bug reports for system level teams and management.
