Job description
Apple is seeking a highly motivated engineer to join the GPU Architecture Team, focusing on the exploration of next generation GPU architectures for iPhone, iPad, and Mac products. This role involves collaborating with various disciplines to deliver high-performance products efficiently. The engineer will work closely with experienced GPU architects and software teams to innovate and assess new ideas. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to Apple's world-class GPU team and improve GPU modeling and features.
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant experience in GPU/CPU architecture and micro-architecture design
- Experience working as part of large cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in C/C++ and a scripting language such as Python or Ruby
- Experience with creating adaptive or machine learning based algorithms
- Strong interpersonal skills and creativity to solve design challenges
- Ability to travel internationally 3-5 times a year
- Proven ability to work with complex designs from architecture to production
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architecture, design, and software partners on defining and tuning Apple's future GPU Core Architecture.
- Innovate to create solutions for future GPU processor and memory hierarchy challenges.
- Assess the feasibility of new ideas in collaboration with GPU architects and software teams.
- Drive new ideas through to product development.
- Contribute to the improvement of GPU modeling and features for power architecture.
