Job description
The Display Architecture Validation Engineer role at Apple involves working within the Platform Architecture team to validate the architecture and requirements for the display sub-system of Apple's application processor chip. This position requires collaboration with various teams, including Display and SoC architects, design and verification teams, and software teams. The focus is on addressing technological challenges and ensuring the quality of display products from evaluation to shipping. The role emphasizes engineering excellence, creativity, and innovation in a hands-on environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in digital signal processing and its applications to image or video processing.
- MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- Understanding of digital image/video processing.
- Understanding of image quality metrics and experience performing objective and subjective image quality analysis.
- Understanding of color science and the human visual system.
- Understanding of image processing pipelines such as display, camera, video codec, or computer vision.
- Strong software engineering and programming skills in C++ and scripting languages such as Lua and Python.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work across groups.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Display and SoC architects to support SoC display architecture validation.
- Work with design and verification teams to ensure the quality of display products.
- Engage with display technology and software teams throughout the validation process.
- Evaluate requirements and contribute to the shipping of various Display products.
