Job description

The Wireless System Engineer at Apple will be part of a dynamic Wireless Connectivity team, focusing on the integration and tuning of physical layer and RF systems for next-generation wireless SoCs. This role involves collaboration across various disciplines to ensure optimal wireless performance in Apple devices. The engineer will work from the pre-silicon stage through to product launch, addressing complex challenges in wireless system design. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience in wireless system design, integration, or bring-up.
  • Strong fundamentals in signal processing, communication theory, and OFDM systems.
  • Preferred advanced degree (MSEE or PhD) with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in using lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Matlab, Python, Shell scripting, or C/C++.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate and tune physical layer and RF systems for wireless SoCs.
  • Collaborate with PHY algorithms, RF design, digital, MAC, and firmware teams.
  • Ensure seamless integration and best-in-class wireless performance.
  • Work on the debugging of wireless PHY and RF systems on SoC platforms.
  • Develop automation infrastructure for traceability and repeatability in testing.
